I just added the new label "Vegetarian". I am applying it only to entree type dishes that are explicitly vegetarian (lacto-ovo vegetarian at a minimum). I didn't include things that you wouldn't typically find meat in, like baked goods. There are a lot of recipes that are easy to adapt or that are vegetarian but not entrees. Also, I only labelled the recipes that I posted. So if my sisterly cohorts wouldn't mind giving their recipes a quick once-over to make them easy to sort for any visiting vegetarians, that would be amazing.
We are sisters who love food and playing with our food. When we've had a successful experiment in the kitchen or an unfortunate "learning experience" we'll share it here. Feel free to learn from our experiments.
About Rosemary
I am a Registered Dietitian (RD), a wife, and a stay-at-home mother of two. As far as dietitians go, I consider myself to be among the moderates. I believe that food should provide us with satisfying and sustaining nourishment and pleasure. We don't have to go to extremes to be healthy, but we do need to put in some effort and keep things in balance.
About Cayenne
I am currently a full time student so I don't have as much time playing with recipes as I would like. When I do have time it isn't always the most rewarding to cook for myself, so I enjoy having friends over to be my guinea pigs. They love it, and when they don't love it as much, they fake like they love it, either way I'm having a blast! I also have a deep and abiding love for desserts, some might call it a love affair, and it definitely makes for some good times in the kitchen.
About Thyme
I am a working mother of two crazy little boys which means that time is of the essence when it comes to our food. We live in a big city but are getting to plant our first real garden which is going to be great, because I love playing with recipes and experimenting with food, which also means that I rarely make the something the same way twice.
